April 18th 10 to 12pm - Sabin Work Party! This regularly scheduled community orchard work party uses the “many hands = light work” model to get neighbors involved in the work that goes into stewarding this orchard and sharing in the harvest!
April 19th 10 to 12pm - Fruiting Plant Sale with Friends of Trees, at their 3117 NE MLK site. We will have vines, bushes, trees, jams and tree care items for sale alongside the Friends of Trees annual end of season low cost tree sale.
April 21st - Private in orchard work day with students from Catlin Gable School!
April 22nd is EARTH DAY! We will celebrate with lots of tree care work in the field, and a private lunch and learn about Mason Bees at the Nike Campus. Our food pantry partners Lift Up! will host us at their Gala in the evening. If you are looking to support a great cause for Earth Day, please Grab a Ticket, as spots are limited.
April 23rd; Happy Hour 4 to 7pm @ Lucky Horseshoe Lounge in Clinton, they will donate some proceeds to our org and feature a seasonal bevvie in honor of us! Let’s celebrate the season and talk about our goals for the urban orchard in 2026! … and have you tried their pizza? It’s amazing.
We continue celebrating at Bauman's Cider on Oak Street Friday the 24th - 4 to 7pm. We will be there with the one and only Christine Bauman, the founder and cider maker behind the delicious and hyper local line up at Bauman’s Cider! $1 per cider will be donated back to fund our work!
Saturday April 25th, 10 to 12pm Earth Day work party at the Fruits of Diversity Orchard in North Portland, at 4375 N Trenton. Let’s keep working towards a beautiful harvest season in our community orchards.
Sunday April 26th, from 12:30 to 2:30 we will assemble and learn about stewarding mason bees in easy to manage houses with East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District at our Parkrose Orchard! You MUST reserve a spot for this one!
Tuesday the 28th Drink a pint with us at Oakshire Beer Hall’s weekly “Inspires” event, where they highlight a local nonprofit. Spoiler alert: this month it’s us. They have been donating $1 per core pint and a percentage of food sales at their Eugene and Portland taprooms weekly since 2013. They are open 12 - 10, we will be there 4 to 7 tabling and sharing our work with Portlanders.
Wednesday the 29th we are so excited for TACOS with Por Que No, their Dine in Days (this one is at Mississippi location!) regularly give back BIG to local nonprofits, what better reason to hang out in the Mississippi neighborhood with a cold drink and a some of the city’s best food!?
